Anti-Social Networking

Social media networks are not all bad. Your friends and family are there and so are your posted memories. But these social networks should be tools that works for you and not time sucks that make you work for "them".

This is an evolving document but lets start with some basic idea:

• Stop engaging with content you didn't explicitly follow. In fact, be aggressively against it. Report it. Hide it. Tell the algorithm and the social media companies you do not want to see it.
• Put your content somewhere else like on your own blog or website. Use social media to link to those other sources, but don't let them own your content.
• Stop re-posting garbage. I'll let you decide what that means, but don't signal-boost for companies or people you don't know.
